"Bring Your Friends" (BYF) - EWTG Luncheon May 22, 2013

By Dokpe Ogunsanya, EWTG Program Director
Our featured luncheon speaker for May will be Ms. Lisa Copeland. She is one of the most respected faces in automotive sales. With over 20 years of success within a male-dominated industry, Lisa is a dedicated pioneer for women on the automotive sales floor. As a member of the National Chrysler Dealer Council, Lisa represents the North American pulse of the FIAT brand. In 2012, Lisa was named one of the Five Most Powerful Women in Austin by the Austin Business Journal when she raised the bar on North American FIAT sales. As the Managing Partner of FIAT of Austin, Lisa was recently honored by Chrysler Group CEO for record-breaking FIAT 500 sales. Under Lisa’s management, FIAT of Austin became the first FIAT studio in North America to sell 100 Fiat 500’s in a single month. Lisa’s presentation will focus on the following:

 * The EWTG Community Service Committee will be collecting prom accessories for Project Prom during the month of May. The committee is in need of the following items: earrings, bracelets, shawls, hair accessories, evening bags, cocktail rings, gloves, and gift cards (Sam Moon, Hannah D’s, and Charming Charlie’s). Let’s bring sparkle and glam to their prom night experience!
The EWTG Community Service Committee is also supporting “Relay for Life of East Austin." EWTG will be providing supplies for the bags that will be decorated as part of the Luminaire Ceremony which will be held Friday, April 26, 2013. We need donations of markers, colored pencils, glue sticks, crayons, and pictures of flowers or other decorative items that can be used to decorate the bags. The Luminaire Ceremony is a time to remember people we have been lost to cancer, to support people who currently have cancer, and to honor people who have fought cancer in the past. The power of this ceremony lies in providing an opportunity for people to work through grief and find hope. The event will be held Friday, April 26, 2013, 7 PM at the John H. Reagan High School. Support the American Cancer Society by making a donation, volunteering, or forming a team.
