Our featured luncheon speaker for March will be Dr. Kevin Ann Kelsmark also known as Dr. K.
 
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology/Distribution from University of Houston, Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Charleston Southern University, South Carolina and Doctorate in Marketing Management from Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale Florida. Dr. K’s professional marketing and management experience includes: Business consultant working in several industries, academic marketing/entrepreneur professor at the graduate and undergraduate levels for several local universities, CEO/owner and designer of 5 retail shops, served as Houston District Industrial Engineer, operations management, and Human Resource Manager at United Parcel Service, etc.
 
Dr. K believes that developing service and product brand equity is based on developing employee, customer, and vendor relationships. It is important to business survival that a company knows how to effectively manage their marketing strategy, business operations, and business development. As an educator she is passionate about student development, training, education and ability to critically think and solve problems, so they can become better managers and more informed consumers. “My teaching philosophy is to not only educate on course subject matter, but to have compassion for each as I help to build their confidence and self- esteem. Outside academia I tend to lead with compassion, always ready to be of service.”
 
Dr. K ‘s presentation will include best practices with the philosophy that Management is about being able to effectively and efficiently achieve desired goals while juggling several other tasks/variables including building close relationships and communicating at many different levels. She has worked with Fortune 500 organizations in managing and restructuring marketing and operational metrics for high-tech aviation, mortgage, banking and credit card institutions, security technology, and retail industries.

Please join EWTG members and friends for this insightful and dynamic program. The luncheon is held at the Austin Woman’s Club, 708 San Antonio Street (ample free parking). Networking begins at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m. The program starts at noon and concludes at 1:00 p.m. The cost is $20 for EWTG members and $25 for guests.
