1995 Woman of the Year

Frankie Watson represents the best of who we are, as women and as leaders. At the EWTG Annual Conference on November 20, Frankie was named the 1995 Woman of the Year.

A Regional Director of the Texas Rehabilitation Commission, Frankie is also a founder of the EWTG Gulf Coast Region VI. She currently serves as Chair of the Region. As a woman who has demonstrated her leadership in EWTG by using her abilities to establish a new region, Frankie is to be commended. She furthers EWTG's goals by developing programs that attract diverse women to our organization. .

Frankie has displayed professional excellence through a solid record of accomplishments and progress not only in her career, but also through a demonstrated commitment to life-long learning. Frankie began her career with the Texas Rehabilitation Commission as a vocational rehabilitation counselor and has remained with the agency, receiving promotions to her current position of Regional Director. Throughout her career, Frankie continued to seek further educational opportunities through professional development programs across the state. Frankie is a graduate of the 1995 class of Leadership Texas.

Frankie has maintained a strong commitment to fostering the growth and development of other women by sharing her guidance and professional skills. She has actively encouraged participation in EWTG in the Houston area and personally facilitates the membership and attendance of those women under her supervision.

In addition to all of these accomplishments, Frankie is an outstanding person who is truly dedicated to her family, community, and her career. Congratulations to the 1995 Woman of the Year, Frankie Watson!
