EWTG Mini Course
"Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering"

October 12, 2016

Savita Raj, Executive Director

We hear so much about STEM education and its economic importance. But what is STEM? Why is it important? How do women fare in these fields? What is being done to recruit, train and retain Texas students in STEM fields? As the traditional tech workforce reaches retirement age, how do we replace those workers with talented, trained students from all across Texas? What does this young workforce look like? What skills do they need? And how do we get them excited about STEM?
