Carlena "CJ" Harris

Manager, Talent Acquisition and Organizational
Development, Luminex Corporation

Carlena Harris is the Talent Acquisition and Organizational Development Manager for Luminex Corporation and serves on the board of directors for the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). She is also the owner of human resources consulting firm Brickhouse International. Previously, she was the Talent Acquisition Manager within recruiting operations for National Instruments, Inc., and the Director Of Talent Development at Terefic. She has held several positions at IBM, including Global Talent Development Program Manager, Global Employee IT Advocate Program Manager, and Software Development Manager. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Technology from the University of Houston and a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership And Ethics from St. Edward's University. 

Ms. Harris has a successful track record in the areas of program management, leadership, facilitation, team management (local & remote), human resources recruiting, and talent development coaching, with a reputation for meeting challenging organizational goals and objectives. She has managed project budgets in amounts up to $10 million and demonstrates a proven ability to motivate and maximize the productivity of local and virtual team members. She is result-oriented and an admirer of the journey in getting from here to there.

If you are considering career advancement, a career change, what to do after you get your degree, or what to do after you retire, this session will help you draft a plan.

Join us at the Carver Library, 1161 Angelina St., Austin, Texas. Ample parking is available - view map. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. The presentation will start at noon and conclude at 1:00 p.m.

Please register early in anticipation of a full house. If you would like to partake in our pizza buffet, which includes various pizzas, salad, and dessert, the cost is $10, payable online in advance by credit card or on-site by cash or check while supply lasts. You are also welcome to bring your own brown-bag lunch.
