Conference
EWTG’s annual professional development conference,
held each November is a don’t miss event.
Newsletters
EWTG publishes a monthly e-newsletter distributed to all members. It provides information
about upcoming events, new member information, the president’s message and more.

Woman of the Year
Each year EWTG recognizes an outstanding member as the EWTG Woman of the Year. The
purpose of the Woman of the Year award is to acknowledge an individual woman who
has distinguished herself in our organization, her profession, and her community.
The EWTG Woman of the Year epitomizes the value for which EWTG stands and represents
the best of who we are as women and as leaders. For more information, email woty@ewtg.org
Woman of the Year Recipients
Woman of the Year criteria are used to judge nominees. Completed nomination forms
are due by September 1.
Other activities of interest:
Community Service activities build civic responsibility
and leadership. Interested members have the opportunity to develop skills and experience
planning, organizing, and implementing charitable activities to benefit local organizations.
The 2006 organizations include: Capital Area Food Bank, Safe Place, and Any Baby
Can. These organizations appeal to a wide variety of interests, and offer varied
volunteer opportunities. For more information, email

Executive Success Teams provide mentoring and support
in small group meetings, discussing a wide variety of topics. Team members meet
in informal settings to share their professional experience and wisdom on a variety
of self-selected topics. Success teams typically meet once per month from May –

Leadership Showcase Luncheons
On the fourth Wednesday of each month from January through October, EWTG members
and guests can take advantage of a lunch networking opportunity while learning from
a distinguished guest speaker. These showcase leaders from the public and private

Leadership Symposium Mini Courses
From February through October, on the second Thursday of the month, EWTG members
and guests are invited to attend a “Lunch and Learn Brown Bag” educational event.
Often referred to as a mini-course, this training is advertised to the EWTG membership
but is open to anyone interested in attending. There is no charge for attending
this event, however to eat, you need to bring your own lunch. Meeting location and
